I think Charlotte and boutiques should embrace the event. In Charleston, the Charleston Magazine was a key sponsor and really "put on" the show. They worked with the boutiques and a local make-up/hair salon who worked with all the models. I went to an info session here in Charlotte and it just didnt seem very professionally orchestrated. I would also look into making it more like a real fashion week...outside in tents, swag bags, etc.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8364038713571164737.post-55570934523778150832009-03-31T21:23:00.000-04:002009-03-31T21:23:00.000-04:00For one, I think the Observer should have provided...For one, I think the Observer should have provided better coverage. Despite three days of runway shows, there was only one brief mention about one of the nights - and even then, it was to complain about spectators and their reactions to the plus size show. At the very least, there should have been a review of each of the runway shows. And why is it this paper has slideshows of every fashion week in the world EXCEPT the one in their home city? Charlotte's designers deserved much better coverage than they got. Start there.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
