Vintage jewelry love

If you're looking for one-of-a-kind, locally-made jewelry, be sure to check out the Mavis Beard trunk show at Boris & Natasha, 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday.

I wrote about Mavis last year, and have been quietly obsessed with her work ever since.

Her pieces have an inventive, vintage aesthetic that is thoroughly modern.

  1. I found your blog because you used the words of my blog title in one descriptive sentence. I like the pieces you have photographed and would agree with your use of the words. I believe many women are looking to the past for inspiration and understanding of themselves and then use that to create something fresh or thoroughly modern. We are also taking some of the ideals of our grandmothers in our approach to buying and creating a wardrobe and retailers would be wise to recognzie a new desire for quality and longevity over the latest trends for the best deal.
